VERSE 24:
For Thy testimonies are my meditation;
and Thy statutes are my  counsellors.

The word meditation translates a word which actually means to examine in one’s mind with delight, or to repeat with the tongue the sayings of the divine Word, and as a result to find consolation in them.

Counsellors = a guiding instruction
God’s Word serves both as a consolation and as a guiding instruction.

In inner and external traits, turn to the Word of God: teaching you how to harmlessly bypass the difficulties you encounter, it will lead you onto a bright and wide road.
pp.61-62

Recap of the 3rd octave:

The Word of God contains the medicine against inner defeats through blindness, forgetfulness, insensibility, neglect, and sloth.

Therefore, those act wisely who every day devote some time to the reading of the divine Scripture, illumined by attentive prayer!
