VERSE 26:
My ways have I declared, and Thou hast heard me;
teach me Thy statutes.

Only after confession and absolution is life in grace renewed in the life of a sinner.

Like in Ps 32:5 and Is 43:26:
My ways have I declared = I have confessed my sins
Thou has heard me = Thou has accepted my confession and forgiven all my sins.

Teach me Thy statutes:

Show me exactly what to do to avoid mistakes, and I am ready, having already received Thy grace-filled help.
p. 67

My ways: different from God’s ways

One must pass this door of mercy in order to enter upon the path of a life in God.
p. 68

Feeling the presence of God’s power following the absolution.

Teach me not only where to go, and what to do, but also how to go and how to do it.
p.69

Teach = to instruct, to train, like we teach children to walk (cf. Jn 6:45)
There is one condition in this teaching ” attention to oneself, and devotion to the unseen leadership” (p.69)
Don’t rely on yourself but only on God’s hand.
